Utilizing on-screen keyboard as a defense mechanism against key-logger attacks
Whenever there is a need to enter sensitive information such as credit card numbers, passwords, etc. It is highly recommended to use the on-screen keyboard, rather than the physical keyboard to input data. This reduces the attack surface by limiting the chances of a malicious software logging your keyboard inputs. There are several keyloggers available on the internet that can read keyboard inputs, but since on-screen keyboard enters data through mouse clicks rather than physical keyboard, you’ve literally reduced your attack surface by preventing keylogging attacks.
