All images are not image

Whenever you see an image or a Microsoft word document, it will be quite naïve to think what you see is all there can be. With basic tools, one could easily hide messages, and even encrypt the concealed message within a file. In simple terms, steganography is the practice of concealing a hidden message within a normal message. Malware are often attached to normal-looking applications, and as soon as the file (could be an image, video, etc.) is opened then a payload gets activated. To demonstrate this, I have a png image containing a hidden file that has my phone number. I also encrypted the file, so that even if it is found from the image, you wouldn’t be able to access the data that is inside it.

Attached are two images of Donald Trump, one of which contains an hidden file. Notice any difference between them visually? I have a prize for anyone who can retrieve the hidden file, and tell me its content within 24 hours from the posting of this message. donald trump1.jpg.bmp donald trump.jpg
